That's it, the very last prompt of our 21 day photo challenge! We are feeling such love and appreciation (awe even) for this wonderful Flickr community. So, for our very last day of our birthday photo challenge, today's theme is AWE!

As we mentioned earlier, the pool is open tomorrow to help allow for catch up days, differing timezones etc. So make those final uploads to the photo pool, keep engaging in the discussions. Once the pool is close, we'll be making our selections for theme winners and some extra prizes for a select number of participants who completed the full 21 day streak. But for now, enjoy this last day of the 21 day challenge and thanks again to an awesome community of creatives!

Flickr:We were camped on the Nullarbor in 1963-64 and a bushfire approached from the West to Cocklebiddy so we hopped on a truck with wet bags to head it off.
As it approached us the truck stalled, then some rain came and we managed to get going and back to the Eyre Highway and safety..
We were in AWE as the rain and smoke approached. I spotted this tree and got this awe-inspiring shot.
Wow, this sure has been a fun experience finding and sharing a photo for each of the themes over these past 21 days. Have so enjoyed looking at all of the AWEsome submissions and love the variety of creative, artistic, picturesque captures that have been posted.
On this last day I wanted to share a photo that inspires a sense of awe in me every time that I look at it, even these many years later. The beauty of nature can literally be breathtaking and I remember being at both a loss for words and also filled with extreme gratitude to the Creator of the scene that I was taking in. Grand Teton is my favorite National Park, so this one holds a special place in my heart.

M .F .:Wow! What a journey! 21 topics in almost 21 days consecutively which rquired many, many rounds of selections from my archive! I went to sleep with images of my selections and rejects in my mind ! I am in awe with myself actually because I made the finish line in this tough but exciting challenge!

Flickr: I've enjoyed spending the time curating and creating for this challenge - managed to keep it going and have enjoyed seeing the photographs arrive and scroll past.
I had been fully considering whether I was continuing with Flickr, after over 20 years being on the site, man and boy, but had wavered the past year and really not used the service. But, as I'm sure many others are finding, the other platforms that once served photographers well have mostly lost direction and certainly lost appeal for me.
Spending the last 21 days participating in this has kept my interest though, and made me appreciate the strengths and focus on photography that's still at the heart of this platform. Yea, there's a lot more unnecessary postings on here (IMO) and we all need to pay attention to filtering out that which is of less or no interest to us individually. But, that hopefully allows the cream to rise to the top and for our individual photo-streams and timelines to stay relevant. I still stop and admire many more images on here than elsewhere. I'm rubbish at interacting and commenting though, but that's just me and my struggle to judge what's genuine on here at times and not trawling for likes and engagement.
I'll keep posting from my little corner of the planet, and continue enjoying seeing other people's corners too.

I missed the deadline, but I still wanted to share my "awe" photo. I love capturing the magic of action sports, and this was the first time I attended the X Games in person. You have no idea how big the Mega Ramp actually is until you're physically near it, and I thought it was cool to see the skateboard contest go down as the sun was setting. Happy 21st birthday Flickr!
